It's time for the mayoral election again. This time Jake is running against Preston, both of whom are seeking the endorsement of Dr. Mike. Who Dr. Mike endorses is the person she thinks actually wants what's best for the town and will listen to it's citizens, instead of the one that will dictate what people want and need. During the campaign, Jake promises Robert E. a seat on the town council.
Meanwhile Sully and Cloud Dancing rescue a fugitive enemy from the Army and bring him to Dr. Mike to treat his wounds. When caught, Dr. Mike is put in jail for aiding a fugitive and Dorothy comes up with a plan to set her free.
