Can be transmited from person to person, but the bacteria is also able to live on things like sheets.

  • Having diabetes, HIV/AIDS, kidney failure, etc
  • Recent or current hospitalization
  • Invasive devices like needles, catheters, and feeding/breathing tubes
  • Contact sports
  • Unsanitary food preperation
