Things My Father Never Taught Me is the eighteenth episode of Season 3 of Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, and the fifty-ninth episode of the series.
Mr. Tate returns to town with Peter, and a broken "mule" (train engine). Dr. Mike convinces him to allow Robert E. a chance to do the needed repairs, and Robert E. takes on the challenge. Even though it's all new territory for Robert E., he's determined to finish the job, and with the help of Peter, Sully, and Matthew, does just that.
