Tin Star is the thirteenth episode of Season 4 of Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, and the seventy-ninth episode of the series.
The town elects Matthew as sheriff, leaving Dr. Mike terrified of the possibility that he'll be shot, even after he gets an ordinance passed forbidding people from carrying guns in town.
Information[]
- Arc: Elections. Type: Sheriff. Colorado Springs holds their first sheriff election between Matthew Cooper and Hank Lawson. No vote count is given, but Jake says that Hank lost by more than 30 votes. Matthew is elected the town's second sheriff after Kid Cole was appointed the first sheriff in Law of the Land. The next election the town holds is the second mayoral election in Right or Wrong.
- Matthew has the town council pass an ordinance to forbid anyone from carrying a firearm in town after mistaking Horace for a thief and shooting him. He doesn't want to admit he made a mistake in being trigger happy. The town's ordinance is done away with in A Matter of Conscience, and supported later by Sheriff Daniel Simon.
